Notre Dame baseball took the first of a two-game series at Radford with a 10-3 victory Tuesday in Virginia.

The Irish offense allowed Notre Dame (10-5) to cruise to a comfortable victory with a balanced attack.

Seven players recorded RBIs with only two registering more than one. Both graduate senior third baseman Simon Baumgardt and senior designated hitter Brady Gumpf knocked in a pair of runs each.

Six Irish runners scored with three scoring twice: senior first baseman Connor Hincks, graduate senior right fielder Tito Flores and Baumgardt.

Baumgardt finished 2-for-4 with two doubles as his hits. Hincks hit 2-5 with a double, triple and RBI.

Freshman right-hander Jack Radel made his first career start on the mound. In his fifth pitching appearance of the season, Radel (2-0) completed three scoreless innings, struck out four and allowed one hit.

Junior righty Ricky Reeth pitched the next three innings and surrendered one run on two hits with one strikeout. Sophomore righty Caden Spivey finished the final three innings. He allowed two runs, two doubles, one walk and hit one batter. He also struck out four.

Notre Dame put the game out of reach with a five-run seventh inning. A Tony Lingwedel RBI single started the scoring. Then Lindwedel, a senior catcher, scored on a wild pitch. A Hincks double, Baumgardt double and Gumpf single each plated one run.

Notre Dame and Radford (5-9) will meet again Wednesday at 4 p.m. (ESPN+) at Sherman Carter Memoriall Stadium in Radford, Va.
