tOSU Evan Pryor out for season

We Bucks may have lost a senior WR Kam Babb too. He's had 4 ACLs in his career but he had a great spring and summer and could have been a quality backup. Unreal to see something like that happen to one kid.

Didnt see anything on him. Thats unfortunate. Similar to our own Shaun Crawford

Was Babb going to be your number 6 wr though this year?

5 or 6 probably. Top 4 is JSN, Marv, Egbuka and Fleming. After that you had Babb and former top 5 WR Jayden Ballard who is really coming on. There's a walk on senior named Xavier Johnson who is probably a lot like the CJ Saunders kid that's balling out in the NFL now. There's so many options in that room. Feel terrible for Babb if he's lost though.

correct, much more of a depth issue. I think you have only two more high ride guys.
We can't afford any more injuries at RB without moving some guys. But we have a true freshman receiver that can play RB and 2 of our best linebackers were former RBs. We still have two studs in the backfield but it's likely at some point one of those guys will miss time.

Ohio State is not moving Steele Chambers to RB. Ever. And Traynayum would have to learn the offense and he's arguably their 3rd best linebacker right now. They have three players that are capable and the walk-on Cayden Saunders is much better than people think. This isn't Urban Meyer's offense so that's why they carry more receivers than RBs

They aren't going to play a walk on at RB over those linebackers. If it ever became an emergency and it was down to just 1 healthy scholarship RB, they would move Chambers or Trayanum. In fact I bet one of those guys would request the move.

Chambers is supposed to be your best LB this year. That wont happen. I doubt a defensive guy would be able to make the transition during the season. Theyd never be able to digest the playbook

It’s happened before.

In 1995, early in the season, Penn State had to move one of our most promising sophomore LBs to RB after about the first three or four games due to a rash of injuries to our RBs. Curtis Enis ended up averaging over 6 yards per carry over the remaining course of that year, went on to have an outstanding junior and senior year, and ended up being a first round draft choice of the Chicago Bears.

So it can certainly happen. But in this case, as in ours, it would DEFINITELY have to be an emergency type of situation.
