It looked like we might not have a football season back in August. Conferences backed out. Teams backed out.
Notre Dame stayed the course. I recall much of the media and many football fans saying, “thank God for ND because we have college football!”
So while we are disappointed in yesterday’s game, we should tip our hats to the team and staff that played almost an entire season under horrible conditions. It’s easy for us to sit back and pontificate about how they didn’t really sacrifice all that much or how they get scholarships, but the grind is real, mentally and physically.
Thanks to the Notre Dame football program in 2020. Now go get ready to slay the beast.
