That's the great thing with the NFL now. Every draft pick now pretty much now knows almost instantly what their salary will be the moment they get drafted. The money is slotted and not a serious part of the contract negotiations. If you get drafted as say the # 100 pick overall you can expect about a 7 % increase in your signing bonus from what the #100 pick got the previous year. Almost all picks get the minimum for a first year player as their actual salary. Signing bonus money is where it's at for a rookie.
