OT: Lou Holtz on Judge Jeanine

don't watch it then. He is introducing a new program to intercity youth to secure the American dream. it figures if it does not go along with an anti-God anti-American or does not have a left wing socialist agenda you would be against it.

Maybe try pitching it to an audience who isn't tuned in to see the overly maked-up female version of Sean Hannity. Thoughts? Wouldn't it give his pitch more validity?

For those replying and not countering the point let me refresh the comment. Judge Jeanine has called for locking up fellow Americans without facts who don't share her belief system. She openly ridicules the Justice Department for not defending her Donny. If Lou wants to associate with conspiracy theorist and diminish his many contributions to society so be it. I'm sure he'll be appearing on Sean Hannity next.

He will be appearing on Hannity. The topic will be how to identify the "mike" linebacker.

Dopey opinion

Her Donny??? First, you slammed her audience and now, it's her political views, so if Secretary Carson and Coach Lou go on Morning Joe and Rachael Maddow will you feel better that both sides of the political spectrum have been represented?

...and though far from a regular viewer I never heard her (former DA and judge) call for locking up folks that don't share her views.

I am an independent and glad to see HUD reaching out to those that need support and hope the program is successful.

Alice: you have to be very proud, yet saddened, at the courage your fellow teachers showed in the face of extreme danger this past week. They have done it before and without a doubt they will protect their students with all they have again if necessary. God bless them. I mention this because I believe you have mentioned that you are a teacher.

All the senseless deaths break my heart but yes, a teacher is going to give up his or her life to protect their students.

I have been in lockdowns, one due to a father reportedly armed and headed to my classroom to get his son (domestic dispute) and once due to a police manhunt in an adjacent neighborhood. The father didn't show up until the next day but was greeted by police before he could enter. We knew what to do, we had a plan and had practiced it. The child had been escorted by police and me into a waiting cruiser the day before and taken with his mother and sister to a safe house. This incident was years ago and now there are even more safety measures in place due to Sandy Hook and other school shootings.

These shootings are so much more than just gun control, in my opinion, it's a combination of social issues including the decline of family/society values, proper mental health care, and sensible gun control.

...and I am not anti-gun living in Southern Indiana I have been to my fair share of turkey shoots.

Dear Lou Holtz (who appears to have many handles replying to this thread)...You peeps are awfully sensitive for not being named Judge Jeanine Piro or Lou Holtz. Are you that partisan you're willing to take up the fight for them? Judge Jeanine has a Saturday night show on the Fox Entertainment channel. If it wasn't for her outlandish comments no one would know who she was. She is not a journalist and doesn't have journalist on her show cuz she (like Hannity) is a hack. Like I said sorry to rain on your favorite conspiracy theorist day, but Lou has and can have a bigger stage than talking to someone who likes to excessively speed and a corrupt Mafia husband.

The only major cable news channel with a wide listening audience is Fox News. Lou is still a leader in his later years!

Favorite conspiracy theorist? That would be MSNBC/CNN.

I don't think she claims to be a journalist. Are there even any true journalists that don't have a political agenda to grind these days?

My point is a program aimed at making lives better is good no matter if you don't like where it was announced or by who it was announced.

...and how you got conspiracy theory out of my post is utterly ridiculous.

Look Holtz is and has been a conservative all his adult life. Most football coaches are . If it makes you feel any better coach Kelly is a Democrat or at least used to be .

It appears that all the districts in my area are reexamining their protocols to see if things can be improved. Not sure what else we can do. Open eyes, open ears, don't be afraid to speak up. Just going through the drills is troubling. Never envisioned anything like this when I entered the profession. God bless all.

My fear is as we turn our schools into fortresses the school playgrounds will be targeted. Yes, God bless all and may we all come together to make these shootings end.

Alice, Security is a big problem at schools. They need to harden it a lot better. And they should be secure. If I go into an office like whom I worked for some years
ago (IBM) they had camera's scanning the parking lot badges to have access. They also had unarmed security guards. even many years before that I worked for Cigna and they had the same. at the high school where my children went, there was no security no central access no security guards and very lax procedure to enter the building only people saying you have to go this office. Really! At the bare minimum, it should be like Cigna or IBM. I actually think it should be further than that. Some teachers and or security workers should be armed or have access to arms. If the schools had security like Cigna the fire alarm would have been discovered as bogus. This intrusion is good. Furthermore, the problem is not guns. It is mental health and these people having access to guns. Years ago we had facilities to place these people there mostly at their own safety. I had a son who was mentally ill I know what I am talking about.

I speak to regular FBI Agents. Guess what? They know they are PAWNS by the political biased hierarchy. No different then speaking to a regular beat (Grunt) cop that his / Her, Gay/Heterosexual, transformer/identifies with both on Wednesday, LiFEFORMS, these lifeforms are nothing but pawns. It’s a ashame that a revered police force look like the federalies or corrupt Cuban law enforcement

great idea but where is the money going to come from ? many if not most districts don't even have the funds to provide basic classroom supplies.

echo, this is the proverbial problem in all government and schools. Schools always say they do not have enough funds. And every year they request a sales tax increase a property tax increase. I noticed this since I started voting. We have to do it for the kids. etc. I have worked with schools in the past and they are the cornerstone of inefficiency. The money is there I guarantee it. But in this case, they could do special capital funding from the state governments to complete this task. after the initial cost its an operational expense and cheaper on-going.

Echo, also the school district where I reside just built a new high school. When you have a capital expense like that you would think they would decide to add a minimal badge, camera and good system for the kids and guests to check in. Well no they did not. The expense to add this is much cheaper at the design portion than after it is built. What are the reasons for this? it is basically what Alice was saying in her post we do not want an armed camp feeling. If I go to the IBM building in Tucson it is far from an armed camped feeling but it is just enough to prevent a mass shooting from a disturbed individual. educators perspectives need to change. I can go to work and be in a relatively safe place but my kid can't because of a feeling. This would not stop everything but it would eliminate most

the way all cable news works Fox, MSNBC, CNN etc is opinion shows and news shows. You watch Hannity it is opinion, likewise on similar shows on MSNBC and CNN. The problem is based on a harvard study over 90% of the news shows on CNN and MSNBC report negative things towards trump and conservatives and fox is negative 52% which is pretty close to the middle. Hmm

Leftists all.

There is a lot of truth to this post. Even Fox has people who look to be honest but have made a conscious decision to represent the radical right. They are not news they are a propaganda tool for that radical right that is ruining our fine country.

CNN easily is the most fair in their coverage whil MSNBC goes out of its way to give alternative beliefs and alternative programming like Hugh Hewitt and other right wingers. Only Fox has a pure bias they promote.

I realize you are not kidding. But you are wrong. Google Harvard study on cable news
