This is a bitter pill.
Being a Jaguar season ticket holder and watching them kneel to OUR National Anthem, but stand for a foreign countries is the final straw.
I have just sent the Jaguars a letter stating that "I will not be renewing my tickets" , and emailed my sister to do what she wants with the remaining one's but I would prefer she mails them back to the front office.

The day Americans honor a foreigners flag over their own is a day to take a stand

RGC,

You were correct I was wrong. I should of listen to you brother.

Proud of you for standing up for what you believe in DIP. You do you man. You have the same rights those players do! I'm glad to see you not standing by and bitching, but instead, stepping up and fighting for your cause.

Question...is kneeling for the national anthem peacefully the same as burning the flag in your eyes?

Welcome to the club. Congrats on your gonads and enlightenment

I have not watched pro sports other than tennis or golf for like 15 years

Screw Steph Curry, LeBrun. Kapernick and others

Unite!

Semper Fi, Brother ! We must take a stand and get our country back ! I have also stopped going to
The movies. The Movies are way over priced and over rated anyway. Most of them are of very little value
And certainly in no way , with very few exceptions, express any values that I believe in.
Thank God for Turner Classic Movies. Real actors and actresses, like Tyrone Power, Jimmy Stewart,
Clark Gable, etc who served and loved our country.

What is the point you are trying to make?
The point I'm trying to make is people are losing their minds and acting as if these players are spitting and desecrating the flag. The truth is for every current or former serviceman that hates seeing this, there is one who knows they fought for this ability. These major sporting organizations are not about to create rules and tell the players what to do so why government is advocating for it is nonsensical.

Hollywood is ridiculously uninspired! Seems all they can do these days is remake movies/TV shows from the past. That is what Hollywood's inbred group thinking will get you - loss of creativity and ability to think for yourself.

This is my stand against THEM!

Question: Exactly why are they kneeling?? What is their claim?? Argument?? I suspect most of them are kneeling because someone else is kneeling, and they really couldn't articulate a reason.

If they have the legal authority to do that, all the power to them. I think it would be an excellent response by the players to use their massive combined social media power to lobby for a boycott of all of Donald Trump's hotels and services and it would be great to see the NBA guys like Steph Curry jump on board as well. I'm sure if they spread the word enough they can do some pretty irreparable damage to the Trump Fortune and put some extra stress on the old man. If he wants their livelihoods taken away, He has the right to voice it. I'd like to see them do the same.

The left has been doing that since his election.
The problem with your argument is most people who stay at Trump Tower are not your average NBA NFL fan who could not afford to stay there be little to no effect.

So be it. If the top 1% want to continue to support Mr. Trump by not participating in a proposed boycott, I love it. Good for them using their protected rights and not caving to the masses. If their wealth is enough to keep Trump's Empire profitable, That's awesome. I have no desire to tell people how to use their money. It's theirs. The beauty of a free market!

I just like to see people stick up for themselves.

I am with you. Boycott the NFL, boycott Hollywood. We are the silent majority. Do not let your family watch the NFL in your home either
Yeah, and outlaw twinkies! Kids should not eat twinkies!

Trump's America is becoming Putin's Russia.

Watch all the fox news you want boys. I'm ready for some football.

And yet most people expect foreign citizens to stand for our National Anthem if they attend a game in the United States. This is all about polltical correctness.

They should be paid. Plenty of money available.
So they are no longer there for the value of a higher education.

There is a lot of money available and don't you think some of that should go back to the education system in regards to public schools and underfunded parochial schools in areas that are totally dysfunctional and be ran by more competent people? How about that money going to send some young people who cannot afford private institutions?

Paying players a paycheck is a bad idea increase their benefits possibly.
Spreading the money out is a good idea

You see this unionize is the players.
I get your union guy most my family are union members but there are just some places unions do not belong the Armed Forces and college sports are two of them

I just did my part

Unfortunately its only a small part. I don't think our pro sports teams get most of their money from fans who attend the games. A larger part comes from advertisements.

Sure, if we stop attending games and stop watching pro sports on TV and listening to it on the radio then possibly the advertising will stare drying up too.

I have basically stopped watching most pro sports for the past 4 or 5 years.

It's gotta be fun to be a billionaire and be able to become president, then go back and curb stomp all the people who angered you through the years.

Our POTUS and the NFL have a long history. And there's no love lost. He has now cost them millions of dollars today alone and it only cost him a tweet. It's going to continue to cost them a lot of money.

I see now more than ever that it's good to be king.

Well, I think the impact of folks being turned off by the NFL is well underway. As TV ratings reduce, sponsor fees reduce, new TV contracts will be for less, teams' revenues will decrease, and the shit will eventually roll downhill to player salaries. At that point, there may be some different behavior. I don't enjoy the pro game nearly as much as college, and so I generally don't watch. Frankly, over the years I've grown sick and tired of the off field issues of these so called sports stars and role models, and the tolerance for their deplorable behavior, which individually are a hell of a lot more serious than exercising their right to express themselves by kneeling during national anthem. I'm all for boycotting companies or industries whose behavior I find objectionable, and the NFL and Hollywood certainly rise to this standard.
