That's some guy named Namath who once guaranteed a victory a long long time ago. Good for Joe, but for me? Well, instead of seeking out the national news media, sitting down for countless interviews, or frolicking around in a fur coat, I've decided to just lay low, and guarantee victory this morning from the comforts of Starkeyville. Why so confident? For one thing, I'll be at the game tonight, but more importantly, Little Starkey and his 9-0 record will be there. He's sat through some real nail biters, but the outcome has always been a W for ND. I just can't imagine how the ND football team could let the lad down.

There's not just one of them to hate, there's 2. Drake London has caught an amazing 64 balls for an average of 138 yards per game. On the other side of the ball there's Drake Jackson a big OLB who leads the team in sacks. Hate the Drake. Stop the Drake. Beat the Drake.

Why is Southern Cal sitting with a 3-3 record? If you've seen them play, then you know they are the experts at self-destruction. They have talent, and if you look at their cumulative stats, they're not in favor of the opponent. Ingram is a nice back that has a 5.7 yard rushing average, and he also averages 2 catches a game. They can throw the ball, no matter what QB is playing, and they do well converting on third down. The answer is real simple on how to beat them - get up on them early, and they'll fold up shop. Not a lot of grit and traits with this team.

The skies will be partly cloudy with a wind out of the WNW at 7mph. By kick-off the temperature will plummet to 46 degrees with clear skies and a slight wind at 3mph. Expect the mercury to plummet even further by the 4th quarter with temps in the low 40's. Sucks to be a Southern Cal fan. 
This game is still a rivalry, and I still remember as a young lad watching the game down the basement on the 19" black and white Zenith. To this day, I still hate AD and the horse he rode in on. The game tonight however is not going to turn out that way. I've been saying this since after week 1 that ND needs to take advantage of their opportunities. Put the game away early, and take advantage of the match-ups that Foskey will have against their 2 red-shirt freshman OT's. If they can do this, then little Starkey will exit the stadium with his index finger high in the air at 10-0. SC doesn't deserve to be on the same field with this ND team, and they'll prove it tonight. Meanwhile ND will make it's climb back into the top 10.
