The offense got piled on with questions to MF, rightfully so, but giving up 16 points masks all the issues the D has had really the last 5 games and especially vs Stanford. Yes, giving up 16 points is good but absolutely no one that watched our team should think the D played well, we didn't.

We gave up almost 400 yards to them and allowed them to milk drives and the clock. Only colgate and USC have given up over 400 yards to Stanford this year.

Stanford had 195 yards after the catch. The dink and dunked us all game and we never even came close to making plays and missed tons of tackles.

Every third and long they did a quick pass or shovel and we had 2 layers of defense. half the D rushing the passer and Half the D 15 yards deep. It allowed stanford to either pick up the first down or get the majority of yards back.

Our interior Dline struggled with lacey gone, JA hurt, and HC playing hurt. Mills should immediately be moved inside as we have enough capable ends.

We're 130th out of 131 in passes defended. Not yards, but our pass breakup rate is atrocious. Our secondary is constantly flat footed and gives up simple easy passes when in man even. Watching lewis constantly chase 5 yards behind on 5 yard out from slot was frustrating. Ramon henderson not having the lateral quickness was frustrating. Yes bracy and heck mickey back probably helps.

Foskey, where are you?

Betrand had tackles, but didn't make plays other than forcing fumble that got overturned. LBs as a whole including kiser played bad again, and just don't make plays

Yes the offense was embarrassing, but the defense wasn't good

it hard to play defense nowadays a/c the ‘live ball’

Marist is really bad....

His program weight listing is bullshit and he plays lihebacker like a coward. Not a position you can play if you don't like contact.

#44 needs to play every damn down. He's a beast and the reps during a wasted season will pay huge dividends

Yeah the defense is definitely a mixed bag. Only giving up 16 points is a plus. But yards after the catch , not so good. Plus that tiny back was running for some decent yards as well. Don’t forget every time they blitzed, it always got picked up. It’s uncanny to blitz so often and yet rarely worked. Players need to make plays. Right now, no one is stepping up to do that.
