Yep, every one of you who questioned and criticized Rees’s ability to be a good offensive coordinator are morons, total morons who don’t have a clue.

One of the greatest coaches in college football history specifically chose Rees to be his Offensive Coordinator !

So who knows more about college football and coaching, Nick Saban or YOU ?

It’s time for all of you morons to step up to the plate, if you have any character and integrity and admit that you were dead wrong.

And don’t try to deflect and divert away from the fact that you were wrong and clueless by saying, “well, we’ll see how he does at Alabama”

Nick Saban, the greatest football coach in college football today has evaluated Tommy Rees and thinks so highly of him that he selected him to be his OC.

With Nick Saban’s selection there can be no stronger endorsement of Tommy Rees’s ability to be a good OC.

So, to all of you morons who doubted Rees’s ability to be a good OC, it’s time to wipe the egg off your face and eat some humble pie and admit that you were dead wrong about Tommy Rees !

This guy also choose sark, Kiffin, etc. saban isn’t an offensive genius, nor have his coaches been, they have insane talent and have had some top defenses to compliment . Saban knows defense and has the ability to motivate and get the most out of top talent

You are projecting again!

Call the person assigned to help you with these things it's time they get to work.
Nope, I’m just calling out all of those morons who were highly critical of Rees.

If you were one of those morons it’s time for you to announce your “mea culpa”. Let’s see if you have the character and integrity to admit that you were wrong !

It’s called “accountability”

Despite this being a board of anonymous posters, those who criticized Rees as an OC can now reveal their true character by admitting that they were wrong.

So who’s going to step up to the plate ?

I knew that you would try to defend your seriously flawed position.

You lack the character to admit that you were wrong.

Now you know more about football and evaluating coaches than Nick Saban

You’re a fraud who knows nothing about football.

You don’t have a clue about Saban’s talent and ability.

You’re a fool !

So by your reasoning in this thread Matt Patricia is a legit offensive coordinating talent because the greatest coach of all time gave him play calling duties last season?

Both have done very well as OC and both have moved on to HC positions... what's your point?

WRONG

Yeah its pretty entertaining watching those whining about Rees being slapped in the face with a big fat dead wet fish like that

The best ones are the idiots that think they know more about coaching in college football than Saban.

Yeah, that’s why Nick Saban selected him to be his OC

Stick to your day job, unless of course you think that you know more about football than Nick Saban !

There is a big difference between those that are blatantly anti Rees and those that criticize his performance.

I like Rees and the way he carries himself and think he can do very well, however his game calling, position groupings, and game management this past year had multiple instances worthy of criticism.

Bill Belichick hired Matt Patricia and Joe Judge to run his offense. Failed miserably and they were removed in 1 year

There is nothing wrong with constructive criticism, in fact, without constructive criticism progress is impossible.

However, the foundation of constructive criticism has to be “a knowledge database” and “intelligence”, both of which were noticeably lacking from the great majority of posters who were constantly knocking Rees

What very few, if any, know is how many plays were called by TR versus MF
What very few, if any, know, is how many plays were audibled.

Micro managing and criticizing from 30,000 feet is rarely on target.

The fact that Nick Saban selected TR as his OC speaks volumes in terms of TR’s ability as an OC.

The morons, and that’s an under assessment of the posters who were critical of TR, who now imply that they are more knowledgeable, more experienced and more capable than Nick Saban is indicative of their depravity and their lack of even a remedial football IQ

That’s not germane to the subject and totally irrelevant, as are your opinions.

Yes it's relevant.

Your statement reads because Saban, an amazing coach, hired Rees, thats a guarantee hes a great coach

Thats wrong. So your point was irrelevant

Belichick, better coach than Saban, makes mistakes. Saban made mistakes. Every coach makes bad hires

Nice try though trying to act like you know something

A local high school coach would look like a good OC with Bamas talent and Sabans oversight.

You know that you’re a total idiot!

I NEVER stated that success was guaranteed, that’s your moronic conclusion, not mine.

You really are stupid ….. unbelievably stupid.

What Belichick did is totally irrelevant to Saban’s decision to hire TR as his OC.
One has nothing to do with the other, each event stands alone.

So now you’re stating that Saban, who is the best coach in college football, made a mistake in hiring TR as his OC.

Please list your CV, your credentials that qualify you to make that assessment.

Please tell us what information you have at your disposal that Saban didn’t have when he made his decision.

The truth is that Saban’s hiring of TR as his OC makes you look like the know nothing fool that you are, and rather than admit that TR is a talented OC, you, like the ignorant fool and fraud that you are, are now telling us that Saban doesn’t know what he’s doing, that Saban is incapable of evaluating coaching talent.

You’re more than a fool, you’re a know nothing schmuck !

Okayyyyy. What did that prove? Nothing

This really isn’t complately true. We have seen teams with amazing talent on both offense and defense not live up to the talent. This is especially true an offense that is more about compared to defense which is more reactive in many instances.

Nick Saban made the decision to modernize his offense, i.e., go to the spread, and play differently than he had been used to pretty much throughout his career and the offense has been really effective through multiple coordinators. Obviously they have had great talent but even teams with very good talent don’t necessarily have good offenses. The coordinators have done a good job.

Alabama’s Offensive Efficiency ranks

2022: #5
2021: #3
2020: #1
2019: #3
2018: #2 [offense began throwing more, i.e., higher % of totL plays were passes]
2017: #4 [still ran the ball as much as ever but not out of traditional sets and new offense began paying off]
2016: #24
2015: #16 [Saban begins shifting philosophy and recurring for it]
2014: #7
2013: #6
2012: #2

His statement was wrong.

But any competent cfb OC can be very successful at Alanama

It's a simple question

Who were the posters. I'm curious to know who you were referring

Name them
You really do have an inflated opinion of yourself to think I would ever do ANYTHING you wanted

They have been obvious on this forum for years

You are too stupid to realize that

Got it. You have no one. Just made up a false statement.

I realized you had nothing the whole time. So what did that say about you...

Think about it

Proved he knows more then the know nothing idiots on this board
It proves that Rees is well respected in the coaching ranks. Pro and college

That was already known.

What we don't know yet is just how good Rees is as an OC

He was okay at Notre Dame. Not elite but not poor either. He had some really high highs and some really low lows

We don't know anything more about Rees right now that we didn't know a month ago

You’re too stupid to understand that it proves that TR is a highly competent OC.

Or is it now your position that Nick Saban only hires incompetent coaches ?

You know nothing about football !

Yes we do !

We know that Nick Saban, currently the greatest coach in college football, thinks that TR is a terrific OC and that TR will be a great asset to the Alabama football program.

Tell us, who’s a better evaluator of college football coaches, YOU or Nick Saban ?
