MBB vs North Carolina

It will be a big yr 3 for Strews. Highly touted class coming in and 2 yrs of bad bball to erase. I think top 4 in ACC and tourny bid or his seat gets very hot. I dont think he can survive another .500 or losing season.

I'd be happy to see SOME improvement. None at all this year. Regression in my opinion.

I'm not sure what basis there'd be for optimism, sanguinity, that ND will finish top four. It seemed like a team, from what I saw in condensed games that was sort of plodding along. Obviously improvement can come whenever it comes, but I wouldn't be placing on any bets on it. And went out with a whimper.

ND has 4 really talented kids coming in next year, Burton will likely be back if he doesnt transfer and I cant see him turning pro. Get lucky in the transfer portal with 1 or 2 players and ND could be a top ACC team. And lets be honest ACC has not been a great conference as a whole last few years.

Need quality at the 4 & 5 positions and quality depth pieces. Need to get more athletic and better shooters.

I don't know about that, it looks like a pretty typical ho hum ND class. They do have the one guy, who likes he might be a special talent, possibly/probably even a one and done, unless ND wants to pay him a bunch to keep him in school if he really breaks out as a frosh.

In any case top four seems pretty high. But whatevs, we'll see. ND should be hitting the portal, but it seems like the portal hath given and taketh away pretty evenly so far.

Shrewsberry needs a diamond in the rough from the inner city. I mean DC, NY, Philly,Chicago, Detroit. St. Johns, Gonzaga, Creighton, and St. Mary's all have elite. coaches so those Catholic schools will win thru developing high quality players. But for most top teams they have ballers from tough areas who can score consistently anytime from anywhere. A David Rivers, Adrian Dantley type of player that has hoops in their blood. Just like Derrick Rose-basketball is everything mentality. That's the missing piece. Look at all the 5 star freshman Calipari had and he still couldn't even win the SEC. ND admissions should bend for that 1 guy is my opinion.
