fascinating. I don’t want to spoil it for you. Watch and please discuss. It’s all very good but when You get to the last 4 minutes you will have the biggest s— faced grin on your face

I didn’t know USC was so negative in their recruiting at that time. ND called day before signing day and wished him well with his decision. USC was not as gracious by any stretch

I always have a special respect for USC. A great rival Unlike UM or others who I despise.

Sort of what I heard at the time except I heard he told Pete he was coming, then prayed and changed his mind. With my beliefs I would never fault a kid who changed after prayers.

Anyway, didn't hear any amazing negative recruiting in the video. Could have happened, but it wasn't Pete's style, at all.

And frankly, IMO Bill Belichik is the best Head Coach any sport any level I have ever watched.

Nick Saban was not even .500 in the NFL, and needed to return to a level where he annually has the best players.

The NFL is all about parity. 9-8 or 8-9 is the goal for Roger Goodell.

2018 - 9th 90.95 player avg

2019 - 6th 91.25 player avg

2020 - 13th 90.39 player avg

2021 - 10th 93.18 player avg

2022 - 70th 92.31 player avg only partial him but I expected more from this class

2023 - 14th 91.98 player avg

Certainly a good recruiter. Maybe very good. But not elite

His classes are kinda similar to BK

We argued about their OL this spring a lot. You tried saying they were good last year and you weren't worried about OL.

I said OL was bad last year. Won't be much better this year.

And recruiting the position is a big problem

With NIL anyone you seriously judges recruiting at this stage is a bit foolish. You may recall Riley did pretty well in the transfer portal last year. We will be fine at O-line.

I put his recruiting ranking and his player avg for every year he was a head coach.

He didnt do well at OL in the portal. And with recruiting at the position being so poor and the portal, how do you fix that problem?

I am not sure why you think o line recruiting is so poor. Riley took the job shortly before early LOI day. He currently has three linemen he likes and several months until LOI day. The majority of our o-line is returning. Vorhees is on Outland Trophy watch list and Athlon preseason All-American teams as well as Phil Steele’s preseason All American list. Neilson is also excellent. We have 14 linemen on the team so it would be good to have one or two more, but the scary situation you suggest just doesn't exist.
