Lee Corso retiring

Lee was entertaining with some of his silly game day antics, but what was fun to watch fifteen years ago became cringeworthy these past several years. Wish he had left on a high ten years ago instead of the target of ridicule of recent years.

Agreed. Very difficult to watch since his stroke. Seems like a genuinely kind likeable person.

Advice on telling others how to handle their own lives. Thanks.

It's about time! He was awful!
I felt sorry for him.
He was a joke on air. Kind of reminded me of how we'd all patronize grandpa who was going senile/declining cognitively.

"Ok grandpa time for your nap" as he mumbled some gibberish everybody tuned out by default

I liked Corso. He made it fun and lightened the mood. College football should be fun. It's morphed into this semi pro world of high stakes win or lose and playoff mentality. By dressing up and picking the winner Corso connected with the everyday fan who just wants to relax on a Saturday afternoon.

Some of you (and what a coincidence; it's the same people every thread) are such incomprehensibly miserable human beings.

On that note I did not see a thread about Jimmie Johnson's retirement. I did not realize that he had been out of coaching for 30 years. So he had like two careers.

For Corso, his job was to be goofy and put on a hat. He didn't need much cognitive prowess or whatever they're calling it

Just some embalming fluid towards the end!

Lee Corso was a big Notre Dame fan.

Those of you who have never suffered a debilitating illness/event don’t know how difficult the struggle to return to normalcy is.

The guy did his best after suffering a serious stroke

I’ll miss him !
