I don't see it. Too much money to be made to eliminate the conference championship games.
Oh I completely agree about the money, but losing could hurt you in the playoffs positioning.
There's already to much money flowing through college football.
A real industrious person could figure out how to launder money through all the money that is running through college football

Conferences will start managing schedules trying to have teams lose fewer games so they may have a better chance to make playoff.
SEC may have 4 teams: Texas, Georgia, Tennessee, and Alabama
Big10 also with 4 yeans: Oregon, Penn State Ohio State, and Indiana.

So 8 of the 12 teams from 2 conferences because of baises that these are tougher conferences. Even making the conference championship matters little.
Win on the field to make the playoff, or be quiet.
