I'm worried about GA Tech and Navy. These option squads can decimate our dline. We have to jump up early and put the foot on the gas.

Clemson. But, the most important IMHO is Texas. Why? It begins and ends with MZ in that opener. If he has a monumental collapse like a couple of other ND QBs on opening day, this offense is up Cripple Creek without a paddle. Clemson is the most dangerous. SEC Saturday night atmosphere. As I have stated a couple of times before, this team may have the chemistry to thrive in hostile places. Texas though will give us all a ton of answers.

We need to come out hitting on all cylinders against Texas. My biggest worry is a Zaire thumb to the helmet. If he gets hurt....

PS the southern cal game is bad timing 1 week after navy.
Plus, I think Ga tech is going to be a rough one...

.

Right now, I'm worried about all 12 of them.

Who knows what the team will be like at the first game of the season? Who knows how Kelly and his assistants will have the guys prepared up for each game?

Usually I'm up tight before every game until I see how they do during the first couple of series.

Tulsa, Syracuse, Navy et al? I worry about all of them. Every year.

btw

beach you picked ND in the USC game last year when SC had a tad over 40 Scholarship players! USC will have a lot more elite players available in '15; and you say "close".

You have a bit of 'Lou Holtz' in you!

TX, Clemson and USC are the teams that year in year out recruit on the same level as ND, according to the recruiting services. Ga. Tech has enough athletes to be dangerous and a system that ND can't seem to figure out (hint, according to Jimmy Johnson and Bear Bryant, the key is to take away the dive play, then you can make the option run east and west). TX may still be a year or two away with the new coach. Clemson will be very talented and it is an away game. USC is the game that I am most concerned about because it is ND's biggest rivalry and the Irish were embarrassed last year. USC will be better this year. Can't wait to get it all started. I was at the LSU game and if the Irish can play with that intensity and limit the big plays, this will be a fun season.

The tough games are obvious- but I worry about BC - they are always primed for our game, they will play up the disrespect angle (a road game in their own city) and if we are on the borderline for a major bowl the ghosts of 2002 and 1993 will loom large.

What a great game to be at. Seeing Malik win MVP over Fournette made it an incredibly special day. I hope that's the first of a lifetime of highlights for those 2... They're very special players.

Perse: Not trying to underplay I just have a 100% record of picking the SC/ND game wrong.

The ND-WSU game wasn't supposed to start til 8 pm … its already in the 3rd inning. WSU leading 1-0

OOPS! Put this in the wrong thread.

I completely agree with you Navy I respect for the history but they are a bunch of over striving knee cutters who can ruin our season that game is always a concern

Texas is a shadow of what they were. They had really good players and QB's named Young and McCoy. Now they have good players but don't have anything special under center.

A reasonably good team defeats Texas.

The Dallas morning news thinks Notre Dame is loaded and is going to destroy Texas !
Meanwhile, at Charlie's office, his two pet baby tigers are wrestling.

After the last 5 years? I worry about every game. Ones that will be more worrisome? Clemson , GT and USC
