I’m sure we all have these discussions with family and friends who root for other programs (the “why can’t the Irish land a solid QB”). I’ve given up trying to figure it out myself. We’ve had teams that were high scoring, had teams that have had great olines, RB’s, etc. But maybe we just haven’t had the right combo of WR talent + OC + QB coach to entice someone, and/or the QB talent we thought we had just never achieved….can’t just blame the HC alone (part of the problem, sure).

Drew Pyne sucks and won’t get the ball out of his hands unless he has 7-10 seconds in the pocket. He should be benched for doing the bare minimum each week. Rees should be demoted to TE coach for the remaining games. Freeman needs to call more plays. Sadly, Rees is a liability particularly in the second half.

Love Bodi’s post. The board gets so negative some times and then all the hair pulling. So it’s some fresh air.

DP is our QB. I root for him. But he is a VW bug trying to win the Daytona 500.

He is short and slow. He has a wobble making it tough to catch. With all his might he can hit 42 yards and he has accuracy problems.

He is tough, takes hits, runs and does his best. He is our only option as this time as well.

So I appreciate we got him and that he is willing but we need a top QB.

Didn't Forest Gump say something about opening a box of chocolates and not knowing what you would get? This team is like that - sometimes sweet and other times bitter (even in the same game). I am glad we escaped Navy (although being at the game I didn't enjoy the second half at all), hope we can take care of BC, and then show our good side against USC. Watching NC play Wake Forest now and knowing that we beat them soundly makes me feel better.

Only a moron who knows nothing about football would criticize a performance that produced a passing performance that included passing for 17 of 21, an 81 % completion percentage, a YPA of 12.8 yards and 4 TD’s

How about 34 rushes for 66 Yards, for a 1.9 YPR, AND THAT INCLUDES A 28 yard run.

Net of that one 28 yard run, ND was 33 rushes for 38 yards, that’s 1.15 yards per rush and you and the other morons want to blame that pathetic performance on Rees ?

He only has 5 tipped passes on 3rd down each game and misses 3 touch downs to wide open receivers.. What other 5* can do that.

Pyne was pretty good today. The OL and game plan in the second half were the problem. And he’s not good enough to overcome that. That’s what elite QBs do. They put the team on their back. He wants to do that but physically he’s incapable.
