David Glancy homered, reached base four times and scored three runs as the Notre Dame baseball team broke a seven-game losing streak Wednesday with an 11-2 non-conference romp over Butler at Eck Stadium.

Seven pitchers combined to limit the visiting Bulldogs (13-18) to six hits and two earned runs with three walks and 13 strikeouts. Reliever Sammy Cooper (1-0) got the win with 1 ⅔ innings of hitless ball with four strikeouts.

Shortstop Jack Penney and first baseman Connor Hincks had two hits each for the Irish (15-15). Penney scored two runs and drove in one. Hincks scored one and had two RBIs. Third baseman Simon Baumgardt drove in a run with a single and another with a sacrifice fly.

The relentless ACC schedule continues with a three-game series set for this weekend at No. 14 North Carolina (26-7, 11-4 ACC). Half of the league’s 14 teams are ranked in the top 16 of DI Baseball Top 25 this week.
