Army/Tulane and Boise/UNLV

21-0 Army. Tulane needs a score before half. Happy for Army. I wonder if the Army coach does the BS politicking that other coaches are doing.

Now 21-0 BSU. Dang!

So 11-1 with a loss to ND makes them a bad team? What makes the MW a different conf than the AAC?
Look at their schedule. They literally played no one except ND and we saw how that turned out.

Tulane at least had Oklahoma Kansas state, and Memphis, but they lost all 3. The rest of their schedule was a bunch of nobody's as well.

Tulane lost by 1 score to KSU and it was in a 5pt game vs Okla in the 4th. Army dominated them tonight.

Still one more big game for Army but what a season. Damn you Miami for causing ND to schedule them!

Army is a very good team. Unfortunately, they ran into the best team in College Football a couple of weeks ago.
A lot of teams can be very good with this schedule:

Lehigh
Florida Atlantic
Rice
Temple
Tulsa
UAB
East Carolina
Air Force
North Texas
Notre Dame *
UTSA
Navy

Means nothing and it certainly doesn't translate to Army beating Oklahoma or Kansas State.

They crushed everyone. Sorry you can't give them some credit. But you are right, it is a weak schedule. Still, they are a good team who would beat some good teams out there.

I give them credit. Great season for what it is, but to say they are very good team, we need to keep that in its proper context. Yes, a very good team for the level of competition they played.

Memphis couldnt handle the AAC schedule and if Navy didnt lose Harvath on the 2nd possesion in the Tulane game it probably turns out different. Boise st struggled with Nevada & Wyoming who both had 8 losses

The PC favored Boise State all season long. They are not wrong, but it's just disappointing when the level of success that Army has had on the football field is unlikely to be replicated.

It has happened before and it still helps us in the computer rankings.

Army would go 2-6 in the SEC. Maybe.
Depends who they had to play if they got Vandy, Kentucky, Miss St, Florida with the walkon qb, Auburn early, SCar early Missouri with Pyne, Oklahoma, and LSU they could have a winning record

You’re wrong, IMO.

I could see this Army team having a winning conference schedule vs the SEC depending on who they play

The discipline and that QB would beat a fair number of much more talented teams without a real good QB and not very disciplined

Great win for Army to win the AAC Championship! That also keeps them ranked for our resume, going into the final rankings tomorrow.

Boise State, with their win, will make the Playoff and likely get a bye as well.

A certain poster thinks Boise is a bad matchup for ND. Actually I think it's quite the contrary. Perfect fit for ND.

I'll take anybody but Alabama in the first round. Would rather have an easier matchup in the first round. Not that I don't think we can beat Bama, though - just that that would be a tougher game than some of the others in the mix.

In order to win the national championship, you have to beat everybody you face

I’d rather play Alabama in South Bend on December 20

Army could not handle the SEC on a weekly basis. 3-5 at best, and that’s being generous.

Do you think that any of the players on those SEC teams could handle the daily rigors that the cadets at West Point go through
