How come NC still has some points (but out of the top 25) and ND isn't even listed even after we blew them out at their house last Saturday?

Because the poll is, and has been, a joke for a very long time. No other explanation. That said, from my perspective, at this point in the season, we are not a top 25 team.

that’s crazy! ND is a Top 20 team; and probably a Top 15 team.

Not too hard to figure out. UNC has one loss. ND has two losses, including a loss to a very average Marshall team.

Because the AP poll is not worth the paper it is printed on. The only ranking that matters starts in late October.

Well I just think if they beat Marshall they are then 3-1 and probably somewhere between 10-15. Marshall loss at home hurt their credibility. Now let’s see if they can earn their way back with stringing some wins together starting with BYU.

We’re 2-2 with a home loss to Marshall. Let’s get on a roll and get to 5-2 or 6-2 before we start talking Top 25.

This is why Michigan schedules cupcakes. That said, nobody that gets manhandled by Marshall should be ranked.

Plus.... and even more ridiculous....

Our contest against NC should've been no contest whatsoever.

How many of the AP voters do you think actually watch every single game on a Saturday?
Impossible #1 and #2 they'd literally have to stay glued to those 10 TV sets for 14 hours or so without leaving once to catch everything. Even then if they watch tv#5 they just missed something big on Tv#7

These rankings....especially this time of year....have nothing to do with the eye test but rather perception.

That NC game should've read sonething like 52-14...
Or...52-20 at worst case scenario.

Both scores appear dominating...

Then over in Columbus...a better team and a much better coached team beat Wisconsin 52-21

In reality we lift the foot off the throat like we have the last 12 years always way too worried about losing a red shirt possibility instead of getting some work in for your future top players.
Do you realize what that does confidence wise if a Merriweather catches a a long pass for a score...??...
Etc, etc..

Anyways the voters see a 45-32 score and have no idea how close the game really wasn't

You'd think coming off that Marshall loss and near Cal loss they'd be pissed and trying to win games 100-0

I'm not promoting embarrassing an opponent but these polls are perception only until it's head to head.
