Find myself in the “unique” position of defending Brian Kelly. Please note that I have been very critical of him in past years. Now is not the time. I believe in this team. That being said this game against Alabama maybe his last chance for the ultimate “statement win. One that will earn him a bronze statue outside of ND Stadium. Matchups and adjustments are what makes the game of football. Watched the SEC game last night and noticed some things about Alabama. Yes they have NFL talent up and down the roster. However their D is venerable in certain areas. They had issues with creating pressure on Kyle Trask and WR matchups. They have become more a offensive team as compared to earlier in Saban’s regime. Envision ND’s vertical passing game being an essential ingredient for this game.
