ND came in 3rd place behind OSU and Bama who tied at 10 players drafted. Can you say the gap is closing. The difference is Bama and OSU always get two or three 5 stars a class and ND struggles to get any of them . Clemson had five. It is my understanding their entire starting defense is intact from last year. It will be hard to replace the combo of Lawrence and Etinne as well as their starting receivers. You have to love the job of our o-line coach is doing. If ND can just land a couple of stud 5 star guys.

That’s fantastic, Bama and Ohio State lead the way with 10.

but no first rounders while Bama produced 6 (tied with Miami for most all time) Ohio State managed 1 but it was at the all important QB position. Even Clemson managed 2.

Let’s not forget the disparity in academic standards.

What ND accomplished is fantastic !

Receivers, QBs, CBs, RBs... Not that we haven't had good ones, just not two WRs chosen in round one like Bama! We've had two in the last ten years (Floyd and Fuller!)

But we are tops at OL, TE... And next year we should have a S and maybe a RB chosen in round one. So I do see improvement overall.

Congrats to all the Irish players chosen this year!
