Rochester (NY) Aquinas Instuite three-star linebacker Jamir Jones arrived in South Bend on Monday. He'll camp at Notre Dame on Tuesday and will workout at defensive end in the morning. Given the Irish's need for pass rushers this cycle, it will be an open audition of sorts for Jones to earn a scholarship offer.
The 6-4, 215-pound Jones is the brother of current Irish tackle Jarron Jones and holds offers from Boston College, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Syracuse and UConn. He played quarterback last season for his high school due to injury.
