While the attention is certainly on Notre Dame's pursuit of a 2023 QB right now, the Irish are plugging away on the 2024 class too.
I touched based with 2024 QB Julian Sayin today. The four-star recruit talks with Notre Dame offensive coordinator Tommy Rees every Wednesday.
Sayin was the first 2024 quarterback to receive a Notre Dame offer on June 4 of last year. Four others have added offers since then: CJ Carr (June 6), Adrian Posse (June 10), Dylan Raiola (Nov. 2) and Jadyn Davis (Feb. 8).
Sayin went on to throw for 2,769 yards on 181-of-253 passing (71.5%) with 34 touchdowns and five interceptions in his sophomore season at Carlsbad (Calif.) High.
Sayin attended Notre Dame's victory over USC in November and he's working to get back to campus in late March. Sayin also has a visit scheduled to Georgia for March 31 and wants to visit Texas in April.
National recruiting director Adam Gorney named Sayin his Quiet Assassin for his performance at the Los Angeles Rivals Camp on Sunday.
