Football Notre Dame Football Live Chat is LIVE ... until 3 ET or so

Here's a shortcut to lurk or to ask questions:

Football A collection of the greatest hits of quotes from Tuesday Notre Dame FB interviews

From the Tuesday night media availability of Notre Dame football coordinators and players, we’ve provided full transcripts of both offensive coordinator Mike Denbrock and defensive coordinator Al Golden.

We also wanted to give you some content from the other interviews. So, here are the greatest hits, or at least the most intriguing quotes, from TE Mitchell Evans, LB Jaiden Ausberry, DT Rylie Mills, RB Jeremiyah Love and special teams coordinator Marty Biagi:

Football Transcript: Notre Dame DC Al Golden on Tuesday prior to Purdue game

Resetting Expectations

Let’s be honest in this thread, ND is not who we thought they were. They are an average football team. Let’s start with grading positions groups to illustrate my comment above:

QB: C-
WR: D+
RB: B+
TE: C
OL: D+

DL: C
LB: C-
DB: B+

Special Teams: C-

Coaching, game planning, leadership: C-

This is an average football team. I expect another 2, perhaps 3 loses when the season ends. That’s realistic expectations after 2 weeks. Is it overreaction? Maybe, this offense is terrible. The game plan and schemes are just as bad as the players executing them.

ND doesn’t have 5 starting LB’s….Mitchell Evans isn’t 100%…the WR room isn’t improved….Riley can’t throw. That’s reality folks.

Football Notre Dame OC Mike Denbrock's press conference transcript heading into the Purdue game

Notre Dame offensive coordinator/tight ends coach Mike Denbrock met with the media on Tuesday evening after Irish football practice. Here's everything Denbrock had to say. Answers are largely verbatim. Questions may have been edited for brevity and clarity. No. 18 ND (1-1) visits Purdue (1-0) on Saturday.

Need Joyce parking pass for Louisville game

The Notre Dame Club of Northwest Indiana is holding our club tailgate on the 28th before the Louisville game.

Our tailgate host has a Joyce pass. I have a Bookstore pass, but I'm looking for a Joyce pass so we can have a second car there to bring stuff in for the tailgate.

I can trade my Bookstore pass for your Joyce pass, or I can buy your Joyce pass.

Please PM me if you can help.

Multiple reports that Leonard injured his left labrum in NIU game

Unbelievable. No wonder the kid stopped running the ball. I had an injured labrum in my non-throwing shoulder, and it can definitely negatively affect how you can throw the football - see Baker Mayfield's poor play with the Browns after he tore his left labrum. It would also be extremely painful to take a hit.

Why didn't Freeman replace Leonard after he hurt himself? Bad judgement on the part of Freeman.

You can use your code names on the regular board posts. I'm going to relax the "no drinking" rule, so buckle up (not that anyway ever necessarily followed it).
