I thought the kid looked pretty good in his time on the field. Threw some nice passes, that TD pass was pretty, but he seemed confident and looked good. We shit on this kid on this board, but another game next week and who knows about the bowl game and another year in the system, I think he is a perfect bridge to wait on Kenny and CJ to develop. QB after next year will not be an area of concern if we continue to recruit the position like we have.

MSOC: Notre Dame men's soccer advances to NCAA Tourney Sweet 16

SOUTH BEND, Ind. — The overall No. 2 seed Fighting Irish men’s soccer team turned in a complete performance, posting a 2-0 win over Kentucky to advance to the NCAA Championship Round of 16.

Notre Dame will play Western Michigan on either Nov. 25 or 26 at Alumni Stadium with a start time to be announced. The winner will advance to the NCAA Quarterfinals.

Both Irish goals came in the second half, as Bryce Boneau continued his fine form with the opener before Nolan Spicer scored the first goal of his career to help put the match away.

Bryan Dowd finished the evening with three saves to earn his ninth clean sheet of the season, Notre Dame’s 10th.

Recruiting 2025 CB target Cree Thomas sets commitment date for Nov. 20

On Saturday night, Notre Dame 2025 cornerback target Cree Thomas announced he will be committing on Nov. 20.

The 6-foot-1, 170-pound cornerback out of Phoenix (Ariz.) Brophy Prep is deciding between Notre Dame, Arizona, Arizona State, Boston College, California, Colorado State, Nevada, Purdue Oregon, San Diego State, UNLV and Wisconsin.

Thomas is a three-star according to Rivals. He is ranked as the No. 31 cornerback in the 2025 recruiting class.

Notre Dame hosted Thomas on unofficial visits for its games against USC and Pittsburgh in October. Thomas has also visited Arizona and Wisconsin for games this season.

HKY: Notre Dame splits series at No. 6 Minnesota

No. 17 Notre Dame hockey went on the road to No. 6 Minnesota and took the first game of a two-game series Friday night by a 4-2 margin. The Gophers responded with a 4-1 victory of their own Saturday.

Notre Dame (7-4-2, 3-1-2 Big Ten) won the first game with a two-goal third period to break a 2-2 tie.

Drew Bavaro put the Irish ahead 3-2 with an even-strength goal 3:30 into the third period with assists from Patrick Moynihan and Landon Slaggert. Then Slaggert put home an empty-netter with 26 seconds remaining the game.

The first two ND goals belonged to Grant Silianoff and Moynihan. Irish goaltender Ryan Bischel saved 32 shots, including eight in a scoreless third period for Minnesota.

Minnesota (6-4-2, 2-3-1) never trailed in Saturday's victory.

The two teams traded first period goals with Rhett Pitlick scoring first for the Gophers. Notre Dame responded with a Carter Slaggert goal 16:38 into the period.

The Gophers took over in the second period with goals by Ryan Chesley and Jaxon Nelson. Pitlick removed any doubt of the outcome with a third period goal.

Notre Dame outshot Minnesota 38-33 in its comeback attempt. Eighteen of Notre Dame's 38 shots came in the final period. Gophers goalie Justen Close turned away 37 of them.

Notre Dame will host No. 4 Boston College (9-2-1) for one game on Friday at 4 p.m. EST on Peacock. The Irish will resume Big Ten play Dec. 1-2 against No. 12 Michigan (6-6-2, 2-4-2).
