Does This Short Week Hurt the Irish?

I know I did not play a football game but I did go on a bender to Cabo and travelled almost 12 hours home due to delays on the 4th and hit bed at 3:00 AM. I was a little tired on the 5th but felt great on the 6th despite the two hour time difference...work, hit the gym........I am over 50...they will be fine.

The flight would have been less than 2 hours in the air....home and in bed by midnight Thursday but being young men who just won a football game they would have been up for awhile so sure 2:00 AM. Friday would have been rest, therapy day...eat well. Saturday Practice, Sunday Practice (remember no limits on time as school is out) Monday practice...Tuesday morning practice at ND.....then fly a 2 1/2 hour in air flight to Miami......meetings, warm weather, nice meal....to sleep by 10:00 or 11:00....team meeting this morning....likely walk through at the Stadium / light practice...more film.....maybe a cruise down South Beach....another good nights rest tonight.....

5 Nights in South Bend......2 Nights at a 5 star hotel in Miami....18-24 years old......no school to worry about...just take care of practice, eat right....rest. If you wait much longer they will be bored.

Either way...the Sugar Bowl did not end "Close to Midnight" It ended before 8:00 PM Eastern.

Are Denbrock and Golden

Both PSU coordinators gave 10 minute Orange Bowl press conferences available on YouTube. The OC seemed a little full of himself and compared ND to "some of the Big Ten defenses we have seen"; the DC coordinator gave off a bit of a nutty professor vibe. I am not a really good judge because by 32 hours out my fan vision goggles get pretty thick--but I don't think they are ready for the coming storm.

Lets talk PSU

Allar is the best QB Notre Dame has faced. 22 TDS only 6 picks.

Warren is one of the best offensive players ND has faced. Averaging 12 yards a reception.

That being said, PSU has struggled on offense at times. OSU forced a lot of punts as well as Illinois.

I have ND winning the game. ND will move the ball better than they did against Georgia.

3. On 3rd down, please call a pass that goes further than the sticks. The entire UGA defense sat behind the WR knowing the pass would be short and they could break on the WR and stop the first down.

I'll go even further. In the UGA game, we were behind the chains a lot and had 3rd and long. I don't think the PSU defense is quite as good as Georgia, but they're stout enough. We absolutely need to stay ahead of the chains better.
