For those hanging around waiting to TEE OFF here is what happened overnight----
VERY LITTLE-----I guess the biggest news is LIAM EICHENBERG's sleep over
went very well. COACH HARRY wants LIAM (Irish for William) and the Staff rolled
out the red carpet for the 6-5/290# left tackle. LIAM is rated as the 5th tackle of this
class and spent a lot of time with 2 other promising ND linemen---NELSON & BARS.
They probably talked about football as well as beer and babes, but who knows.
Coach HEISTAND had a long talk with LIAM also-----showed him how red-shirting
for a year to develope the muscles and mental game is the right way to go. That having
5 years at ND including starting the last 2 or 3 was better than wanting to start as a freshman.
At any rate all has been done that can be done---LIAM now moves on to URBAN MEYER's
territory and then will make the big decision.
Speaking of decisions-----MATER DEI's CURTIS ROBINSON 6-3/205 OLB/Safety/wide receiver
and MVP of 7-on-7s out in Calif plans to announce his school of choice Monday 8 AM Pacific time.
He and his mother spent a few days on campus a couple of weeks ago and loved every second---
our big rival is STANFORD. This is a real 5* prospect----an athlete who can do it all on the
football field. Time to visit the GROTTO on this one.
