The Irish (6-1) will try to carry the momentum from Wednesday's 70-52 victory over No. 20 Michigan State into today's home game against Syracuse (3-4). Tip is set for 12 p.m. EST.

TV: ESPN2
Radio: Notre Dame Radio Network

The Irish shot 50% from the field in Purcell Pavilion against the Spartans with 13 assists and six turnovers. Cormac Ryan had his best game of the season with 23 points, 20 of which came in the first half.

Notre Dame stuck with its six-man rotation against MSU, but it should get to a seven-man rotation with the expected debut of guard Marcus Hammond, a grad transfer from Niagara. Hammond has been out with a knee injury. He will be a starter for the Irish at some point, but I don't know if Mike Brey will put him in the starting lineup today for his first game back.

Expected starters: guard JJ Sterling, guard Trey Wertz, guard Cormac Ryan, guard Dane Goodwin, forward Nate Laszewski.

Syracuse has really struggled to start the season with losses to Colgate (80-68), St. John's (76-69), Bryant (73-72) and No. 16 Illinois (73-44). Its win have come against Lehigh (90-72), Northeastern (76-48) and Richmond (74-71).
