Kelly said a couple years ago that the mid-west and Southeast were his targets for recruiting over the next couple of years.
Thus far ND has commitments from 2 terrific linemen from Ohio in Tommy Kraemer, and Liam Eichenberg. And 3 commits from Florida, at 3 different positions. Tony Jones at RB, Spencer Perry at Safety, and Kevin Stepherson at WR.
I know they aren't as star studded as many here want. But I stand by, you can't win recruiting in the summer. First, many of the rating agencies just haven't seen enough of many of these kids to put them in their proper place, either higher or lower. And many of these kids are going through their junior and senior seasons. And with that is a ton of development.
Give the recruits a chance (and all the rest of us for that matter) with a new OC in Sanford and what BVG manages to do with his second year at DC. If ND pulls in a good record, the recruits will follow it.
