Had major shoulder surgery in February and was supposed to be ready for season opener. No sign of him. Any info?

Bama apparently is being riddled with transfers. One thing about hiring this complete outsider as the new coach, is in the age of the portal and NIL, the circumstances are ripe for Bama's roster to get decimated. And they won't necessarily be able to maintain all their advantages as they transition to a new coach, if they lose half their roster.

That's one aspect of Saban's ultimate retirement, which of course was going to happen one day.... if you do bring in a complete outsider no matter impressive how impressive his resume or bright his star, this sort of thing is exactly what could happen, a mass exodus. Because Bama is no longer Bama with this new coach. Saban was Bama and now that's completely gone.

I'm not sure if it quite counts as a mass exodus or not, but it's a bunch of names.....

Things might have been different had Saban said he was retiring in one year and so and so will be the next head coach and is on staff and recruiting. But he didn’t so…
