Imagine if Phil jurkovec would’ve graduated early and came to Notre Dame in Spring of his Senior year of high school instead of playing varsity basketball. He probably would’ve started over Ian Book by his Sophomore year and been a first or second round draft pick. Some kids get it and others don’t.

None of that would have happened. Jurkovec got chances, and he showed he wasn’t good enough.
